Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) proudly announces its association with Japan’s internationally acclaimed performance group, DRUM TAO, as brand ambassadors. Celebrated worldwide for their electrifying performances, intricate choreography, and innovative stagecraft, DRUM TAO will bring a unique musical journey to India through this collaboration.
As a company that draws strength from its Japanese heritage and deep-rooted commitment to India, the new association not just celebrates the art of performance, but also emphasizes shared values of harmony, innovation, and inclusivity that transcend borders and connect generations.
Expressing his delight, Mr. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement said, “At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, we believe in creating meaningful connections that go beyond mobility. Our association with DRUM TAO reflects this spirit—where tradition meets modern innovation. Music and rhythm have a universal appeal, especially among today’s youth, who seek experiences that are vibrant, dynamic, and inspiring, values that are deeply aligned with Toyota’s vision of “Happiness for All.”
DRUM TAO’s hallmark lies in the powerful Wa-Daiko drums — traditional barrel-shaped Japanese instruments rooted deeply in folklore and spirituality. Coupled with their innovative choreography and modern reinterpretations of Japanese instruments like Shinobue (flute), Koto (harp), and Syamisen (guitar), their performances create a sensory experience that transcends language, marrying ancient ritual with modern-day spectacle. Their athletic, smartly dressed performers further captivate the audience.
The group was also honored with “The 6th Japan Tourism Agency Commissioner Award” and “Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award” from the Japanese government.
As part of a dedicated 14-city tour across India, scheduled for November and December 2025, audiences can look forward to an unforgettable cultural fusion. Stay tuned to TKM’s website and social media channels for the upcoming reveal of tour schedules, venues, and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments.
