Harajuku, known for its inventive menus and Japanese-inspired flair, has expanded with the launch of a new Bakehouse in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. Spanning approximately 800sqt, the outlet brings Harajuku’s signature desserts, breads, bakes, and beverages to one of the city’s most buzzing neighborhoods. With 15 new outlets opening this year and an ambitious plan of 90 more over the next three years, the brand is thriving and setting the stage for many more to come.
The Punjabi Bagh Bakehouse offers a wide spread that brings together Japanese street favourites and artisanal baking. Sweet highlights include Mochi Pancakes, Japanese Cotton Cheesecake, Rainbow Slice, Castella Teacakes, Matcha Tiramisu, Biscoff Cheesecake, Sakura Yuzu Basque Cheesecake, and Nutella Dorayaki. On the savory side, the menu spans Yakisoba Buns, Curry Pan, Croque Monsieur, Korean Chicken Pepperoni Pizza, Harajuku Hot Dogs, Chicken Floss Buns, Miso Chicken Puffs, as well as delightful variants of baos, poke bowls, and gyozas. To complement these, the drinks list features bubble tea, artisanal coffee, ceremonial matcha blends, Hōjicha lattes, and signature coolers such as Tokyo Blue and Lychee Lemongrass Ginger.

Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Kanwar, Founder of Harajuku, said, “Punjabi Bagh represents a microcosm of Delhi’s dining culture; energetic, diverse, and always willing to experiment. For us, it is a strategic step to move beyond malls and central hubs into neighborhoods with strong community engagement and high repeat dining potential. With the Bakehouse format, we can operate with sharper efficiency while maintaining the same quality our customers associate with Harajuku. Punjabi Bagh gives us access to the audience of west Delhi who would come to Saket and Vasant Vihar to dine with us. As a location it has a thriving café culture that values both indulgence and convenience. By expanding into such markets, we are building a model that is scalable, sustainable, and tuned to India’s evolving appetite for Japanese-inspired experiences.”
The Bakehouse will serve dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders. Its compact format, lower capital investment, and focused menu make it a scalable model for future high-street and community markets. Orders are also available via Swiggy and Zomato, ensuring Harajuku’s signature creations reach customers across the city.
